The ISM-15 grain cleaning separator can be installed on ZAV-type grain cleaning complexes, as well as in elevators and grain processing plants. It can also be integrated into an automated grain cleaning line. Air-based grain processing reduces damage, which plays a crucial role for farmers, as losses during separation are kept to a minimum.

It differs from other machines of this type by its power unit, which is based on an impeller.
The use of the working wheel provides several advantages. Namely:

  • Reduces air flow power loss.
  • Reduces energy consumption by 3–4 times.
  • Expands the functionality of the separator.
  • Uses a frequency converter, which in turn simplifies adjustment.
  • Increases the durability of the electric motor.

The separators in this series are equipped with rotating shutters located between the trays. If needed, by turning the shutter control handle, you can block or redirect the grain flow to the desired tray. Additionally, by partially covering a tray, it is possible to achieve the most precise material selection. It should be noted that adjusting the angle and opening of the tray can significantly improve calibration quality.

For the first time, the use of an impeller as a power unit has made it possible to minimize air flow power losses typical for this type of machine: the unit has no air ducts, which would otherwise require a significant portion of the electric motor’s power to overcome their resistance.

The design solution – positioning the air intake at the top – prevents small impurities from entering the device's air intake opening.

The use of a correctly aerodynamically shaped impeller, specially manufactured for ISM machines by a company that produces aviation equipment, has significantly reduced electric motor energy consumption, stabilized airflow, and eliminated vibrations.

The machine’s design does not include a de-turbulizing screen, and therefore no periodic cleaning is required, allowing the machine to operate without technological interruptions.

The use of a frequency converter allows adjustment of the impeller speed, smooth startup of the electric motor, and operation in reverse mode for self-cleaning.
